Sandra Barr Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 22, 2011.

Sandra J. Barr, age 68, went home to be with Jesus in the early morning hours of Monday, August 22, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, John; her daughters, Kelly Barr and Lisa (David) Turoso; her son, Joseph Barr; her mother, Nancy Sutton; her brother Rylan Sutton; her sister, Donna Dienema; and her precious granddaughter, Olivia Barr.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Sutton, of Dallas, Texas; and her father, Milton R. Sutton, of Canton, Ohio.
Sandy created a home filled with laughter and joy for her family. She was generous, compassionate, and always put everyone else ahead of herself. She passed on a strong faith in the Lord, and although she is dearly missed, it is comforting to know that we will see her again. She was a member of the Canton First Church of the Nazarene where for years she lent her beautiful voice to the choir.
Funeral services will be held at First Church of the Nazarene, 522 30th St. NW, Canton, OH on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 11:00 am with calling hour prior to the service. Calling hours will also be held at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 6-9 pm. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to KICR (Kids Involved in Cancer Research) at Key Bank, 4495 Everhard Rd NW Canton, OH 44718.

What we remember most about Sandy is her spontaneous laughter. It's been way too long since we were able to spend time with her, but we recall some pleasant occasions when we young couples went out to eat together. We talked and laughed so much, the other patrons probably thought we were having a party. Actually, we were, and it was fun.

Then there was the time when our families camped out with the Hollingsworths at the lake in Michigan.

Our hearts grieve with the family and we pray for God's comfort to be very close.
