Obituary

SANDRA J. COYLE, age 70, of New Bedford, passed away Thursday, June 05, 2014 at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late John and Jane (Scott) Coyle, she was a life-long resident of the area. Sandra graduated from New Bedford High School with honors in 1961. She worked as the secretary at the Acushnet Wesley Methodist Church for many years. She was a member of the Agawam Order of the Eastern Star #121 in Marion, the VFW Auxiliary Tuttle Post in Acushnet and was a member of United Methodist Women. SANDRA J. COYLE, age 70, of New Bedford, passed away Thursday, June 05, 2014 at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late John and Jane (Scott) Coyle, she was a life-long resident of the area.

Sandra graduated from New Bedford High School with honors in 1961. She worked as the secretary at the Acushnet Wesley Methodist Church for many years. She was a member of the Agawam Order of the Eastern Star #121 in Marion, the VFW Auxiliary Tuttle Post in Acushnet and was a member of United Methodist Women. Sandra completed the Walk to Emmaus pilgrimage.

She is survived by a sister, Diane Bumpus-Poulin and her husband Richard Poulin of New Bedford; a nephew, Joshua D. Bumpus and his partner Thomas Damiano of New Bedford; brother-in-law George W. Bumpus; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is also survived by her loving church family.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 10 AM in Acushnet Wesley United Methodist Church, 67 Main St., Acushnet. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held Monday 4-7 PM in the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
