Santos T. Menchaca, Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, was called home by the Lord on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the age of 85. He was born on December 14, 1927 in Uvalde, TX to Santos and Serapia (Trevino) Menchaca. As a young man, he served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp. Following his military service, he worked as an accountant until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son; brother, Isias Menchaca and his sister, Gloria. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Leonor C. Menchaca; son, Alcario C. Menchaca; daughter, Monica Castillo Little and her husband Randall; grandson, Shane Esteban Little; granddaughter, Elena Saibhin Little; brother, Benjamin Menchaca; sister, Norma Hidalgo. Also left to cherish his memory are numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach, San Antonio, TX 78209.

He was always ready for a golf game.Though I was not a golfer my husband always enjoyed playing with Santos.
I know that he will be missed. Maybe there is a golf course
in heaven and he and Jim can play again.

Condolences from the Jorgensen family. I played a few rounds of golf with Santos but his main group was Jim(my father)Woody and John. Many good rounds played by that foursome.
