On December 21, 2009, after gracing this earth for 87 years, Sarah (Reynolds) Adams softly flew home to God. Sarah was welcomed in heaven by her husband, Delmar Adams, daughter Judith Adams, sons James Adams and Bruce Adams and sister, Sophia DiBart.

Sarah was born March 1, 1922 in Thayer, IL. A diehard Cubs fan, she spent much of her adult life in Chicago, IL. Sarah enjoyed a long career as a supervisor at GTE (formerly Automatic Electric) in Palatine, IL and Huntsville, AL but was also well-known for her culinary skills –a true pioneer of work/life balancing. Everyone who ever met Sarah was likely fed by her and couldn't help genuinely loving her. Her life's focus was bringing comfort and care to those around her. She will be best remembered for her generosity, unconditional love, cheerful smile, warm hugs and scrumptious cookies.

Sarah will be greatly missed by sisters Mae Morrisey and Josephine Reynolds, brothers James Reynolds and Ben Peters, daughters in law, Patricia Adams and Elaine (Jeff) Reid, and grandchildren Don (JoAnn) Adams and Heather (Michael) Reimers and great-grandchildren Courtney, Devin and Grace Reimers and Jake and Max Counter.

Visitation for Sarah will be on Saturday, December 26 from 9 am till time of the funeral service at 10 am at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E Allen Street, Springfield, IL. Interment will follow at Camp Butler Cemetery.
