Sarah "Punkin" Bryant-Ecru

Sarah "Punkin" Reeder Bryant, age 89, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born July 26, 1921 in Pontotoc County to Othneil and Maudie Reeder. She married Paul Bryant on April 27, 1941. She was a member of the Cherry Creek Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2011 at Cherry Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Don Wilson and Rev. Roger Reeder officiating; burial will follow in the Cherry Creek Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her four daughters: Paulette Posey, Bonnie Strain and Debbie Herring all of Ecru and Reeder Wilson (Jerry) of Jackson, TN; Five grandchildren: Brandi Posey, Andrea Wilson, Rony Herring, Jon Herring and Jill Herring; two great grandchildren; a sister: Mabel Huffstatler and a brother: Harold Reeder of Ecru.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Paul Bryant; and a sister: Lula Mae Rowland.

Pallbearers will be: Rony Herring, Jon Herring, Lynn Bland, Mike Reeder, Jackie Reeder and Jordan Montgomery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Thursday and from 11 to 1:30 PM Friday at Cherry Creek Baptist Church. The visitation will all be at the church.
