Obituary

Scott L. Turner Age 42 Beloved husband of Kelli. Loving father of Austin. Dearest son of Sharon and the late Harry. Cherished brother of Karen Collareno, Diane Reed, Mark Turner, Steve Turner, John Turner and Keith Turner. Also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Scott will also be missed by his many friends and students. Visitation is Thursday from 3:00pm until 9:00pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road in Livonia. Beloved husband of Kelli. Loving father of Austin. Dearest son of Sharon and the late Harry. Cherished brother of Karen Collareno, Diane Reed, Mark Turner, Steve Turner, John Turner and Keith Turner. Also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Scott will also be missed by his many friends and students.

Visitation is Thursday from 3:00pm until 9:00pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road in Livonia. A prayer service and time of sharing will take place Thursdau at 7:00pm at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be Friday with an in state time of 10:00am until the time of Mass at 11:00am at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 Haggerty Road in Plymouth. Scott will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.

Scott was awarded the Ann Arbor Public Schools District's Excellence as Teacher of the Year in April of 2006. He received a recommendation for Michigan Mathematics Teacher of the Year in 2009.
He was a much beloved teacher by the students, staff and families of Scarlett Middle School.


He also was very active in raising money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital by coordinating Math-A-Thons. St. Jude Math-A-Thon is a fundraising program that supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The program includes a math supplement for grades K-8 that students complete while raising funds for St. Jude.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Scott's honor.
