Dear Rabbi and Mrs. Lettofsky,
I worked with Seth for many years at Sherwin-Williams. Everything everybody says here about Seth being a kind soul is accurate. What a true gentleman he was. I truly will miss his soft-spoken nature, his smile, and his affable personality.
I was searching classmates.com and saw the name 'Caren Lettofsky' in the roster. I contacted her and asked if she was related to Seth, i wanted to reconnect with him. I was shocked & deeply saddened to learn from Caren that Seth had passed.
Take heart in knowing that you raised a fine son, a good man who was widely respected as a great teammate when we worked together at S-W.
Sincerely & in sorrow,

I miss you SO much Seth. Still is hard... very hard. Hugs and love.

I wish I could talk to you right now, Seth. Hear your laugh, get your advice, know that you're close. I miss you. It's still very, very hard to accept that you're not here. I think of you everyday, Seth. I wish you had known that.

Dear Rabbi and Mrs. Lettofsky,
You surely don't remember us, but my husband Eric and I were the ones who bought your house on Mason Street in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1982. We don't really know each other, but I want to give you my heartfelt sympathy all the same. I wish I could remember more clearly if I ever met Seth. One day, on one of your visits back to Madison, two of your children came to the house and asked if they could see their old rooms. I was quite delighted to see their joy as they raced up the stairs for a look around. It was very brief and long ago, and I cannot remember which two of your children were there, but the joy of that visit remains to this day. We lived in that house until 1985; after a short time in South Bend, Indiana, we moved to Cleveland in 1987. We have lived in Cleveland Heights since 1989. I saw Seth's obituary in the Plain Dealer. I read them, among other reasons, because I am now a volunteer at Menorah Park, and most of the friends I've made there are quite elderly. I am so, so sorry to have seen your son's name on those pages. My job at Menorah Park is called "Friendly Visitor;" listening is what I do. You probably already have enough friends, but if either you or your daughters would like one more, just say the word; Pearl's Place at Menorah Park is one of my favorite lunch spots, and I would treat. You can reach me at [email protected]. But of course you mustn't feel obligated, as we don't really know each other.
Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

Rabbi Alan and Jean,
We were saddened to hear of your loss. Although we did not have the privilege of knowing Seth, we were blessed to meet and have Rabbi Lettofsky's support and good counsel when my mother passed away.
Our family understands, from experience, the struggle and heartbreak of this situation. We send our love, our comfort and our support in this difficult time.

My husband worked with Seth at Sherwin-Williams. One of the employees had a party, and that's where I met Seth. I sat and talked to him for a while, and I thought he was one of the sweetest persons I've ever met. He is truly a kind and gentle soul. I would often ask my husband how he was doing, because he made such an impression on me. I'm so sad to hear about his passing. The world is a kinder place because he was in it.

I worked with Seth at Sherwin-Williams and sometimes rode the RTA train with him. You have my sympathies and condolences on your loss. He was always great to be around but I lost touch with him. We often talked about various subjects like stocks and when he beat that police speeding ticket, etc. I'm sorry to have heard of his passing. The world is a lesser place without him around.

I was a dear friend of Seth. We spent a great deal of time together during our late teens and early twenties. Seth had a brilliant mind. He was extremely funny and we always had fun, perhaps too much at times. Seth challenged the world. He was a kind soul and cared about the world around him. While his time on this planet was too short Seth made a strong impact on those who really knew him.Seth will be missed. My condolences to his wonderful family. May you find peace and solace knowing that Seth made such a wonderful impact on the those that had the pleasure of knowing him. Seth would want all to challenge the world and for all of us to strive to help others. With a heavy heart,Brian

Jean, Alan, Deborah - deeply saddened to hear about the loss of your beloved son and brother Seth. I remember meeting him at your Seder many years ago - and finding him to be very smart, interesting and engaging. In fact, he was the first person who told me about the internet - a man ahead of his time. I hope you find comfort in his memory and in the love and support of your community. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Hearing about your loss has deeply saddened me, but I know that this is far from what you are going through right now. Seth was the most kindest and helpful person I met. We started at same time and at Progressive and worked together for a little over three years. During this time he always said "Be realistic and optimistic, life is full of great things to enjoy and to hope for". He loved playing pinball and talking about it a lot. You'll be missed my friend, and I will miss a real friend as well as your joyful smile. You are in my thoughts and prayers. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family.
