I had the pleasure of Seymour's acquaintance and friendship through various activities in the Greenwich community: the Havura, the Lunch and Learn, lectures and art events. I feel enriched by his intellect, knowledge and ability to offer creative perspectives and new ideas. He will be greatly missed.

Seymour was a fine gentleman and a fantastic teacher. He actually made organic chemistry interesting.

A great storyteller with a wonderful self effacing sense of humor, Seymour could really light up the Tully Center. We all knew when he was there. I was one of many blessed to have known him.

Seymour will surely be missed at the Tully Center. My friends and I met him at the pool where you could find him always. He was delightful to speak with and we always had a good time when Seymour was around. May your happy memories of Seymour carry you through this difficult time.

I knew Seymour from both the Cos Cob and Greenwich Libraries, at reference desks, book discussion groups, and films. He was a lively intellect AND a very nice guy: great combination! We were lucky to have him for so many years.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Seymour's passing. I knew him from the Greenwich Democratic Town Committee where we both served as representatives from our respective districts. I always enjoyed talking with him and hearing his interesting points of view. He will truly be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know he was not the same after losing his wife, but hoped he'd be around for a long time. Mr Polansky was a wonderful, interesting human being. I knew him from the Tully Center. He will be missed, it was always nice to see his smiling face......
