Sharon Losey, 74, passes away at home on August 14, 2012, leaving a hole in our hearts. Sharon was born on January 1, 1938 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Adah and Lloyd Keogan, the second of four children. Sharon grew up in the Puyallup area with wonderful childhood memories.
In adulthood, Sharon moved to Olympia where she worked for the state. She married Art G. Losey in 1970. She was a devout member of St. Michael's Parish.
Sharon was famous for mothering everyone she came in contact with- every stray animal of child was welcomed into her loving home. But her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. She was an absolutely wonderful, dedicated and loving mother and doting Grammy.
Sharon saw only the best in us all, and taught us how to love and be kind. She was a bright light in our lives. She will be so greatly missed.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tim; and her sister, Kathleen, whom she now joins in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, Art; her two daughters, Shannon Oakes and Julie O'Hara; her step-daughters, Tammy Diamond and Susan Adams; and her beloved grandchildren, John, Keogan, Ellie and Kaitlin Oakes, Hailey, Jaden and Ashlynn O'Hara, Carly and Kevin Diamond, Brandon and Katie Adams; her sister, Sheila Pearson, and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral mass will be held at St. Michael; Catohlic Church, Olympia, at noon on Thursday, August 23, 2012. A graveside will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Mills & Mills Memorial Park, followed by a reception in her home at 3:00 p.m.
