Sharon J. Barnett, nee McCall, 54, of Pleasant Hill, Ill., born Dec. 31, 1956, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coure. Mo.
Sharon was a member of Grace Church in Maryland Heights, Mo. She was the owner of Tabacco Plus in Louisiana, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Marion, nee Atherton, McCall; and a sister, Marsha McCall.
Surviving are her husband, Rick D. Barnett Sr.; her son, Rick D. Barnett Jr. of Pleasant Hill, Ill.; a grandchild, Gabrielle Alexander Barnett; a brother, Jack McCall of State Park, Ill.; two sisters, Betty (Melvin) Simpson of Fairview Heights, Ill., and Nancy (Roy) Rogers of Collinsville, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Kathy (Bob) Gibson of Troy, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Dean (Maggie) Barnett of Troy, Ill.; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview heights, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.

I wish I would have been able to stay in contact with Aunt Sharon. I will miss her greatly. The last time I talked to her was when you all lived in Jerseyville. We moved and I lost her number. She will be greatly missed. Sorry for the loss of a wonderful woman to many. May God bless her and those of us that knew her. Love you Rick and Ricky. (Its been a long time.)

Aunt Sharon was the best wife mother and friend you could ask for . If you had a problem or needed a shoulder to cry on she would be their . She always was the life of the of party and made sure everyone had a blast . My son russell loved her and his uncle Rick . They nick named him pork chop .
