Sharon A. Sullivan, 65 of Eastham and Wellfleet died on Saturday August 17 as the result of a car accident.
She was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Sharon will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Joan (Friis) and William E. Sullivan. Sharon grew up in Norwood, MA. She attended St. Catherine's School, and later graduated from Marian High School. During her highschool years she was a member of the Norwood Debonnaires Drum Corps.

Sharon enjoyed her college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Sharon was able to manage the balancing act. She earned her BS from Regis College. She also pursued graduate school, earning her Masters in Library Science from Simmons College.
Fortunately, Sharon enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Sharon worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was as a College Librarian. She was employed for years at various Educational facilities: She worked at the Widener Library at Harvard University, Ohio College Library Center, Ohio State University Library, Duke University Library, and Truro Public Library
.
Sharon enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were the Arts. She was a supporter of the Boston Ballet and a collector of Cape Cod artists. She collected pottery from all the places she lived and traveled. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Sharon's faith was important to her. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Harbor Church in Provincetown, MA. Sharon worked at the Vestry at St. Mary's Church.

Sharon enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Vacations included numerous trips to Jeruselum. While in Jeruselum she worked with ALHAQ, the Agency for legal services for Palestinians.

Sharon leaves behind her loving mother, Joan (Friis) Sullivan, Sharon's lifelong devoted partner, Ron Deiner, as well as 4 Siblings: Joan Hay of Westminster, MA; Barry Sullivan and wife Carolyn of Norwood, MA; Megan Sullivan of FL, Patrick Sullivan of Wrentham, MA ; her Niece Alison Hay of Boston and Nephew Nicholas Hay of Westminster. She was predeceased by her father William E. Sullivan and her brother Mark Sullivan.
