Sherry Lynn Henderson, 63, of Plano, Texas, died on June 7, 2011. She was born to Arnold and Geneva Kent on September 2, 1947, in Pratt, Kansas. Sherry was a 1965 graduate of Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas. She lived in Tonganoxie, Kansas for many years and later moved to Plano, Texas, where she married Jerry Henderson on August 6, 1988. Sherry was a dedicated employee of Arco Oil Company, where she retired. After retirement, she worked part time with friend and Plano patent attorney, Lindsay Scott. Sherry Lynn Henderson, 63, of Plano, Texas, died on June 7, 2011.

She was born to Arnold and Geneva Kent on September 2, 1947, in Pratt, Kansas. Sherry was a 1965 graduate of Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas. She lived in Tonganoxie, Kansas for many years and later moved to Plano, Texas, where she married Jerry Henderson on August 6, 1988.

Sherry was a dedicated employee of Arco Oil Company, where she retired. After retirement, she worked part time with friend and Plano patent attorney, Lindsay Scott.

Sherry attended The Reform Church of Plano, where she made many wonderful friends. She enjoyed reading, traveling, painting and decorating. Sherry was extremely passionate about her family and friends, and devoted her time and energy into making sure the unconditional love and support she felt for them was always a presence in their lives.

Sherry is survived by Jerry, her loving husband of 23 years, as well as her oldest son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Wendy Lewallen of Clarksville, Tennessee; and her youngest son, Brock Lewallen, of Plano, Texas. She is also survived by her father, Arnold Kent, of Kansas City, Kansas; her sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Duane Grimes of Olathe, Kansas; her brother and sister-in-law, Kelly and Joyce Kent of Shawnee, Kansas; and her step-brother and wife, Stephen and Susan Butler of Hudson, Ohio.

Sherry was a doting grandmother to three grandchildren; Bailey, Ainsley, and Jude. She was also a wonderful aunt to three nephews, Jeff, Kaleb, and Fletcher; and one niece, Jill; as well as, a great-aunt to one great-nephew, Jameson; and two great-nieces, Kara and Alyssa.

The family invites all of Sherry's friends to come and celebrate her life with them.

The visitation will be on Sunday, June 12th at the Ted Dickey West Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The service will be held at the same location on Monday, June 13th at 10:00 a.m., with a grave side service at 11:30 a.m. Donations may be made in her honor to the Children's Cancer Fund of America, 2101 West Broadway Suite 103, Columbia, Missouri, 56203-7632.
