Mrs. Berrin was like a mother to me. She helped me thru everything and she helped me stay on track. My life has been blessed from being able to have known her!!! She loved his kids very dearly and she cared and loved her students the same!!! Mrs. Berrin saved my life many times and if it weren't for her I wouldn't have become the woman I am now!!!

I knew Sheryl before Hot Cookies and before Larry, when she was formulating the idea and perfecting the now famous recipe. Sheryl rented an efficiency apartment from us when she first started out on her own. I was always impressed with her enthusiasm, confidence, and gusto for life. I know she will also be missed by those students whose lives she touched. I am so sorry to hear she is no longer with us. My best to the family!

Although I haven't spent much time with Sheryl recently she left an "imprint" on my life. Her heart. Her warmth , true concern and her overall joyful spirit are contagious. I met her when I was a young motherless mother. We shared that bond,,,, however she was wiser and had a bit more experience under her belt. She openly shared with me .... Cried with me and cared about my family. I remember the Shabbats that she opened her home , her family and her heart. Your everlasting aura will remain part of me. Sheryl, You are a blessing. After spending time with your family it is obvious that your kids got your gift. That gift is the gift of giving, depth in their soul and a beauty that shines and that can only be true when it comes from within. My admiration and desire to capture part of you grew even when you weren't physically there. Your "imprint" is everlasting .

I knew Sheryl when I lived in South Miami...hot cookies, Beth Am, play dates with our little ones and special fond memories of a kind and beautiful person inside and out! My heart felt condolences to her family,

Sheryl Berrin was an esteemed colleague and a dear friend. I can certainly say my life was blessed for having known her. I called her the Friday before graduation with a student she helped guide and mentor and against all odds would be graduating. The student out of gratitude thanked her and I could over hear her expression of joy, pride and encouragement to the student and now was encouraging her to pursue her education. Sheryl Berrin was a "gift" and her memory will be in our hearts. My sincerest condolences to her family.

I worked with Sheryl at Varela and I remember the class and understanding she brought to every situation. She was really someone kids felt was on their side and I know she has left a mark on their futures. I am sorry for your loss.

I worked with Sheryl at Felix Varela High School and always admired her optimistic and upbeat attitude. She had a smile and a kind word for everyone, no matter what, and she loved her kids so much. She was extremely proud of each of them and talked about them often with coworkers. She will be missed by many. I wish her family the best.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all that knew and loved Sheryl. I had the privilege to have worked with her at Felix Varela Senior High. She was an a mentor and an advocate for the students that she worked with, including my own brother. She will now be an angel in heaven watching over all those children she took such great care of. She is missed.
