LEIGH, Shirley Crone, 75, of Highland Springs, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017. She was preceded in death by her son, James Leigh Jr.; her brother, Phillip Crone; and her son-in-law, Stephen Rakshys. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, James Leigh Sr.; daughter, Karen Leigh Rakshys; grandchildren, Rex and Matthew Leigh and Bryce and Evan Rakshys; great-granddaughter, Jayla; and her brother, Lewis Crone Jr. Shirley's family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 11 a.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church, 6700 Emmaus Church Rd., Providence Forge, Va. 23140. Interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 3961 Deep Rock Rd., Richmond, Va. 23233.
