Asbil, Sidney 1929 – 2012 Passed away November 5, 2012 in Montreal, very much as he lived, quietly and with dignity, surrounded by the love and laughter of his family. Dearly beloved husband of Edith (Lohse), beloved father of Karen (Rick Townsend), Neil (Carole Gosselin), Janet (Kyle Little) and Brian. He was also a very proud grandfather and great-grandfather. Sid was the brother of Elmer, Walter, Verna (Negm) and Henry, and the late Carrie, Angus and Robert. Visitation will be held at Collins Clarke McGillivray White, Saturday November 10, between the hours of 2-5 and 7-9, 307 Riverside, St. Lambert. Funeral will be held Sunday...

Passed away November 5, 2012 in Montreal, very much as he lived, quietly and with dignity, surrounded by the love and laughter of his family. Dearly beloved husband of Edith (Lohse), beloved father of Karen (Rick Townsend), Neil (Carole Gosselin), Janet (Kyle Little) and Brian. He was also a very proud grandfather and great-grandfather. Sid was the brother of Elmer, Walter, Verna (Negm) and Henry, and the late Carrie, Angus and Robert.
Visitation will be held at Collins Clarke McGillivray White, Saturday November 10, between the hours of 2-5 and 7-9, 307 Riverside, St. Lambert. Funeral will be held Sunday November 11 at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 321 Empire, Greenfield Park at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Greenfield Park or to The Canadian Cancer Society.
Our grateful thanks and appreciation to Dr. Legler, Dr Ginsberg and Dr. Lawlor, the nurses in the chemo treatment room and the palliative care staff on 10 east at the Montreal General Hospital.
