Silas Overton Raker, III, 36 of Monticello, died May 27, 2014. Silas was born June 29, 1977 in Quincy, Florida to Silas and Cathy (Jessup) II. Silas was employed as an estimator with Dixie paving Company for over eleven years. Silas is survived by his wife, Ginny of Monticello; his father, Silas (Alice) Raker, II of Monticello; his mother, Cathy (Glenn) Harrelson of Tallahassee; son, Hyde Raker of Monticello; his daughter, Willa-Kate Raker of Monticello; brothers, King (Sherry) Harrelson and John (Dana) Harrelson all of Tallahassee and David (Shari) Raker and Tyler (Amanda) Raker all of Monticello; his sisters, Allison (Keaton) Henderson of Tampa and Tracy (Jason) Scarbary of Tallahassee. Friends will be received Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Chapel. Funeral services will take place 11:00 am Thursday at Freedom Church, Tallahassee. Interment will take place in Beth Page Cemetery.
