Sister Gloria (Victoria Czarniewicz) was born on September 27, 1927 to Stella (Czerwinska) and John Czarniewicz. A native of (Greenpoint) Brooklyn, New York, she attended St. Stanislaus Kostka Elementary School and Girls High School both in Brooklyn. Sister retired from teaching in 1997 and worked in the Finance Department of Little Flower Children's Services, Wading River, NY until 2005. Sister moved to Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent in Monroe, CT where she worked part-time as receptionist in the convent. Sister suffered a broken hip in 2008 which resulted in Sister gradually being confined to a wheelchair. After a short illness, Sister passed away on August 20, 2016. Sister is survived by her sister Rose Allocca, of Brooklyn, NY; sister–in-law Peggy Czarniewicz of Syracuse, NY, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
