DEAR PETER,
Sorry to read about your mother passing. You and your wife have our
sincerest condolences.
Your mom had a long blessed life and thankfully survived the killings and struggles that took place in Cambodia and stood fast in maintaining her Christian belief in Jesus. She now has gone to her just reward with Him in heaven.
I am certain she is proud of your pastoral life and work here in Portland and in bringing Christianity to Cambodians in Cambodia with all the personal trips and hard work you do there annually.
We are glad, and I'm hope you are too, that mom got to fulfill what I understand was her desire to see the old homeland one more time.
We all have lost her presence here on Earth. For that we are sorry,
But are glad her faith rewarded her with a new life and she has a better
second life as she joins her friends who have preceded her into heaven. May that knowledge and the fact you will see her again sustain you in your sorrow. God bless you.
