Stanley Trammell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 14, 2017.

Stanley Norris Trammell II, 48, was born November 21, 1968 in Denison TX. His parents were Gail Jackson (Rambo) and Stanley Norris Trammell. He passed away peacefully February 9, at home in his sleep.

Stan worked for many years as a server in many restaurants during his life with the last place of employment being Salt Grass Steak House in McKinney where he made friends that quickly became part of his extended family. He was an avid scuba diver and loved all marine life even having a beautiful salt water aquarium that he was very proud of. During his life, he traveled to many exotic locations and made numerous friends everywhere he went. He was loved by all that he ever came in contact with and never made an enemy. His smile could light up a room and his laugh was infectious.
During the last few years of his life, even though he faced incredible odds with his health, his spirits remained optimistic and the love for his family and friends never wavered. He will be missed and loved by all that knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Gail Jackson of Denison, father, Stanley Trammell and wife Nila of Cartwright, Oklahoma, grandmother, Ethel Rambo of Colbert, Oklahoma, brother Ronnie Jackson and wife Sandy of Denison, sisters Kristin Kay Jackson of Paris TX and Brooke Jackson of Sherman, nieces Jordan Smith and husband Devin of Pottsboro, Raegan Jacob and fiancé Patrick King of Sherman, nephews Brantley, Mason and Weston Smith of Pottsboro and Carter Swindell of Sherman and numerous cousins and friends in Texas and Oklahoma (as he considered all his friends as his family as well). He was preceded in death by many family members both in Oklahoma and Texas.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no memorial service or visitation. Instead, his nieces have arranged a balloon release to honor his memory. This event will take place on Sunday, February 19 2017 at 3:00pm at Waterloo Lake in Denison. We are asking that all his family and friends attend this balloon release to honor his memory and express what a wonderful person he was and how much he meant to so many.

Words can not express the sadness and loss of such a charismatic and genuine soul. I knew Stan for 20 yrs and then some. I can truly say that he became a brother almost as quick as he became a friend. His positive outlook was contagious and that smile on his face backed it up!There are a few true friends in this lifetime I can count mine on one hand, Stan is one of those. Words cant really express the loss of not having him to talk too or gather wisdom from-or just be stupid and laugh and have fun. You're forever loved and missed brother!

I met Stan many years ago we when were so young. He was one the most kindest & optimistic people I have ever known. He loved to laugh and was always so enjoyable to be around. We didnt see each other for many years like 15 or more yet when I saw him again it was as if we had just seen each other the other day. I will miss Stan greatly, I know he is in heaven with all the other angels. Love. To my friend , Shawna Hall -Wolf

Hard to believe my friend and high school/ after school running buddy is gone. A kind, caring, peaceful fella with a big heart, capturing smile and hearty, unforgettable laugh. I don't recall ANY of our schoolmates ever having issues with him. Stan was truly a friend to all. My deepest sympathy to the friends and family impacted by his untimely passing. This just doesn't seem real! Goodbye Stan the Man..... R.I.P. buddy.

Gail, I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a child is the hardest thing a parent can do in their lifetime. I lost my son to a motor cycle accident when he was only 29. We will miss them forever. I have thought about you a lot over the years.

Lots of Hugs to you and your family. You will be forever in my thoughts.
