Stanley Borysewicz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 13, 2012.

Stanley A. Borysewicz, 67, of Pompano Beach, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, November 11, 2012. The son of Mr. & Mrs. Stanley B. Borysewicz, he was born in Bridgeport, CT and resided in the Hartford, CT area for many years prior to moving to Florida in 2002. He was a successful small business owner, accountant, and most recently, the Deputy Appraiser for Lori Parrish Broward County, but was most known for his love of golf. He was an active member of the Palm-Aire Country Club and could be found there most Saturday afternoons. Stanley was also active in his community serving as the Treasurer and currently, the President of the Palm-Aire Condo Association. His neighbors knew him as the man who kept the community fed and made sure medical attention was received in the days after Hurricane Andrew. Due to his acts of heroism at this time of need, his neighbors affectionately called him "Stan-the-Man". He is survived by his daughter, Amy Borysewicz of Beacon Falls, CT; his fiancée, Maggie Moya of Pompano Beach, FL; his three sisters, Margaret Skapczynski of Ocala, FL, Patricia Brown of St. Peters, MO, and Frances Kaye of Shelton, CT; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours for friends and family will be Thursday, November 15th from 5-8pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 200 West Copans Road, Pompano Beach. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, November 16th at St. Henry Catholic Church, 1500 South Andrews Avenue, Pompano Beach. You may leave condolences online at www.forestlawnnorth.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at www.redcross.org for hurricane aide.

Dearest Maggie, Family & Friends of Stan: Please accept our deepest condolences in your time of sorrow. May you find peace in the mist of your pain knowing he now is your angel.

"To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me."

I will always remember Stanley wearing his bright colored Property Appraiser shirts with that great head of hair! Though we worked in different departments at the Appraiser's office, we always said hello in passing. I remember him telling me how much he loved the sun and would go outside the office to "thaw out"....I am truly saddened and my heart goes out to his loved ones. What a beautiful spirit. R

I was very saddened to hear of Stan passing. I know Stan because he was married to my beautiful aunt, Anna Marie Borysewicz. we had lots of sunday dinners at my grandmas house.I always remember visiting the video store he owned in Glastonbury, Ct. He was an amazing dad and a wonderful Grandpa to Kyle & Travis. He took good care of my aunt during her fight with ALS. I was so happy that Stan was lucky to find love in a woman names Maggie. I never met, but I only heard wonderful things about her. Im so very sorry for your loss. I did get to see Stan a year ago and he was exactly the same smiling and handsome man. my heartfelt sympathy goes out to Amy and Maggie, and his grandson Travis. Im sorry I cant be there but your all in my heart. I will always think of Stan with fond memories. May he rest in peace. and I know that in heaven, there is quite a reunion going on. we will miss you.
