He moved to Greenwich in 1977 and retired from Rolls Royce in 1985, but continued consulting to the company for several more years. Dear family, I had the pleasure of meeting Stanley about 12 years ago in Greenwich first as a classmate in a tai chi class and then as my student. Stanley was an inspiration to me as well as all students bringing determination and fun to the class. Many of us continued to meet for lunch occasionally even after I moved to Woodbury. I will miss Stanley but treasure my happy memories of him as well as my signed copy of his wonderful book. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. With sympathy, Carolann Rich, Woodbury, Ct.

Stan was a wonderful mentor and friend to me and many other Rolls-Royce people who benefited from his knowledge and quiet wisdom. I shall miss him. Unfortunately Nancy and I will be unable to attend the memorial service as we will be in Europe, but my daughter Sasha is planning to attend to pass on our condolences to the family.

I was privileged to know Stan both when a Rolls-Royce employee and later through the Rolls-Royce Retirees Association of North America when I greatly enjoyed our various phone conversations together. He will be sorely missed and my deepest sympathy is extended to Pam and the other members of his family.

This is indeed very sad news. Stan was very helpful during the initial establishment of the Atlanta Engineering Office and very helpful personally to me when I was compiling a paper on the history of the office.
My sincere condolences to the family.

I shall never forget the kind, thoughtful support he extended to me at a time of crisis in my work career in late 1976 in Rolls-Royce Canada, Montreal. He was a gentle and sensitive mature gentleman of the first order. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to her of Stan's passing. I worked for Stan when I arrived at Rols-Royce Inc in 1979 and it is only as I progressed through the ranks of RR that I came to realize just what a powerful and positive influence he was on my career. He became a friend and mentor. Faith joins me in offering our condolences to the family. Sadly we won't be able to attend the funeral as we will be visiting family in England. God Bless,
