Stella Cantu went to be with our Lord on Monday October 16, 2017. Stella was born on September 27, 1934 in San Antonio, TX to Jose and Florencia Gonzales. She graduated from Providence High School in 1952 and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Stella is survived by her dedicated husband of 55 years, Gonzalo Cantu; son, Gerald (Mary); daughter, Michele; grandchildren, AnaLisa (Ronny), Michael (Zulema), and Kayla; sister Florence (Julian) Gonzalez, and numerous nieces and nephews. Stella had many lifelong friends that she cherished, loved and considered them as family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 25, 2017 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home from 5:30-9:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. The funeral procession will depart Sunset Northwest Funeral Home at 11:15am for a funeral mass at 11:45am on Thursday October 26, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 13715 Riggs Rd. Helotes, TX 78023. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. A special Thank You to Claudia, Georgette, Diana, Cheikelia, and Judy at JLH for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided to our wife and mother.
