BAN, Stephan .... Corodini….Ben Mordechai: age 79, passed away on Tuesday, December 10th.

Stephan was a Holocaust survivor who escaped Hungary in the revolution of 1956. He came to the US in 1958. He was a Mechanical-Electrical Engineer who held many patents and created many inventions. In the 1970's, he worked for the Department of Defense, but his true calling was as the magician 'Corodini', who performed on television and theaters in Europe and the US. He moved to Marathon in 1977 and owned the Wooden Spoon restaurant and the Fairway Market.

Anyone who knew Steve, knows he was also the world's finest Garage Sale Shopper, FIX-IT-UPPER and Swiss Chocolate conossieur. Most importantly, Steve was a loyal husband, brother and friend and a fiercely loving and caring father, grandfather and uncle.

He is preceded in death by Susan, mother of Judy, Bobby and Andrea.
He is survived by his wife Dr. Eva Gabor Ban, his children, Judy Ban Greenman and Robert A. Ban of Marathon, Florida, Andrea Ban Tecce of Arlington, Virginia, and his sister, Elizabeth Ban of Sidney, Australia. He is also survived by his nephew Tunde Ogunlana, his step son, Miklos Buk, and his grandchildren Kelley, Suzie, Katie, Tiffany, Josh, Amanda, Jeremy, Jesika and "the sweetest one of all", Zelma.

His "magic", humor, feistiness, old world wisdom, generous spirit and amazing heart will be greatly missed by his family and all those who adopted him as a father or grandfather figure.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm on Friday, December 13 at Riverside Gordon at Mt Nebo Kendall, 5900 SW 77th Ave, Miami, Florida 33143. The family will be having a Celebration of Life at Riverside Gordon -Kendall after the service.

We welcome you to share your favorite Steve Ban story, Expression of Love or Magic Trick(s) at the memorial service. If you would like to be part of the program, please email Kelley at kelley.greenman@gmail.com.

The family suggests memorials be made in Stephan's name to his magic club: International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) Ring 45, 9850 SW 166th Court, Miami, Florida 33196.
