Stephen Michael Ponsiano was born in San Jose, California on August 8, 1948 to his parents, Joseph and Jacqueline Ponsiano. He moved to Pacific Grove in 1967, attending Lighthouse School, Pacific Grove High School and MPC.
Growing up in Pacific Grove, Stephen joined Scouting, Pack and Troop 115, beginning with Cub, Webelos and Star and was proud of being an Order of the Arrow member. He was very competitive in his sports activities; running track in high school and later playing Two Pitch in the community. He was an avid NASCAR and Rams fan, enjoyed volunteering with SCRAMP. Stephen loved racing his Stepside and Corvette and working on cars.
While still in high school, Stephen worked for Singleton Chevrolet under the ROP program. He then worked for Sweets Auto in Pacific Grove, Valley Auto in Carmel and finally to Pebble Beach.
In passing, Stephen leaves his beloved son, Jason, his loving parents and many relatives and friends.
We will forever miss his quick wit and friendly ways. A Celebration of Life will be announced later.
