I'm very sorry to hear about Steve and my prayers are with his family and daughters...he was very much like a big brother to me when I was growing up and so was his brother David and his good friend Clark Gaines. Steve loved people, and even through all of his ups and downs, his heart was always full of love for others. Later in life, Steve introduced me to a program of recovery that literally saved my life, and I will be eternally grateful to him for that divine intervention! I will always have fun and fond memories of Steve for his friendship and inspiration.

So very sorry to hear of Steve's passing. We'd known each other since the Insurance Commission days. Such wonderful memories. Playing your guitar and singing for us with the voice of an angel. Then working at Universal Claims with you, David and your dad all those years standing at the windows during the storms praying for grapefruit size hail! Always cooking up something great, especially your famous salsa and all the laughter and fun times we had there. You helped me and the kids through some tough times back then and I will be forever grateful to you for that. The kids are heartbroken. You were so loved. I will miss you my friend and always love you. RIP. To Karen and all of the family, please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
