We were friends and neighbors and helped each other out since the 90s when I moved in the neighborhood. A lot of long bike rides and few beers riding out a hurricane. Simple stuff of life that I will never forget. I am very sad. I am thankful that I got to know him and have some good times together. Steve was honest and real as they come and made you a better person for it.

I met Steve through hiking with the Capital Hiking Club and subsequently we hiked and biked together many times. He was always fun to be with and very helpful, volunteering to help out whenever necessary. I was very fond of him and will truly miss him.

It is never easy to lose a loved one, I pray you find comfort in Gods promise found at John 6:40 which says that soon we will see all our loved ones again. My deepest condolences to the family.
