Our love, prayers and thoughts are with all of the family today and I wish we could be there with you. My prayer for Steve was that he would be a testament to this world....and he was! Steve showed us all how to overcome our struggles and face life head on and with grace. It wasn't always easy for him, but he persevered. And now he was won the race. James 1:12 "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." Although we will miss you here on earth, Steve, Heaven has gained another angel. But the good news is we will all see you soon.

I'm sorry for you loss. Steve was remarkably kind and honest at all times. He made me feel welcome when I was new to the fellowship, was kind to my children, made me laugh often and was an excellent example of how to walk through even the toughest life has to offer clean. He lived and died with dignity. I'm truly grateful to have known him.

So sad to learn of Steves passing. When I first moved to the Rockford area Steve was one of the first people that I met. Even though we were separated by many miles I still considered him a good friend. My sincere condolences to the family.
