Steven Robert McKay, Jr., 46, a resident of Marlborough, NH and former resident of Brattleboro, VT., passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July, 8, 2014. He was born July, 29, 1967, in Charleston, SC., the son of Steven R. and Patricia (Weekly) McKay. He was a 1986 graduate of Merrimack High School. Steven loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. In addition, he was a sports fan: he enjoyed fantasy football, hockey and was an avid Bruins fan. Steven Robert McKay, Jr., 46, a resident of Marlborough, NH and former resident of Brattleboro, VT., passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July, 8, 2014.
He was born July, 29, 1967, in Charleston, SC., the son of Steven R. and Patricia (Weekly) McKay. He was a 1986 graduate of Merrimack High School.
Steven loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. In addition, he was a sports fan: he enjoyed fantasy football, hockey and was an avid Bruins fan. He also loved music and had a collection of records form his favorite artist: Bruce Springstein.
He is survived by his son: Steven R. McKay, III of Appling, GA, his daughter Veronica M. McKay of Vernon, VT, his parents: Steven R and Patricia M. McKay, Sr. of Myrtle Beach, SC., his sister: Lisa M. Thomas and her husband Michael of Indian Trail, NC., his god-mother Donna Paddock, two nieces, two nephews, several aunts and uncles and various other extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 3 to 5pm, at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH., family and friends are welcome to come and share in a time of remembrance.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Steven's memory to Boston Children's Hospital, c/o Orthopedic Clinic, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
