Services for Susan Caroline Williams Meador of Lubbock will be held Monday, June 19 at 10:00 A.M. in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with graveside services following at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be the evening of Sunday, June18from 6-8P.M.
Mrs. Meador passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 following a short illness. She was born in Abilene, Texas on September 1, 1949 to Alwyn W. Williams and Virginia Jarrett Williams. She graduated from Coronado High School in1967and graduated from Texas Tech University in 1971 with a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics.
She married Ronnie M. Meador of Odessa in 1971 and they were married until his death in 2009. She was homemaker, mother, and also worked at the Groves's Branch Library. She was a librarian assistant for fifteen years at Rush Elementary School in Lubbock.
Her survivors are her son Sam Meador and wife Lindsey, her daughter Janie Meador, and her brother, Bobby Williams, all of Lubbock.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Literacy Lubbock at 1306 9th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79401is suggested or to a charity of your choice.
