Susan Howard Strickland, 67 of Midland Texas passed away on January 3, 2018.
Susan was born in San Angelo, Texas on December 31, 1950 to Bill Howard and Ann Hapgood Howard.
Those who knew Susan will remember her as a very independent and strong willed person. She welcomed all with a smile, laugh and was always available for encouraging advice to help brighten your day. Susan was the most spiritual and selfless person we knew. She was described as religious, funny, and very kind by her grandchildren.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents; grandmothers, Gladys Howard and Evelyn Hapgood; and aunt, Randy Hapgood.
Susan is survived by one great grandchild Andrew; grandchildren, Dillon, Brayden, Lyndee, Ethan, Reagan, Taylor, Lilian, and Colter; siblings, Lauren Strubar, Randy McPherson and Hap Howard; children, Eli Lambert, Nathan Lambert, Christine Renz and Cherenae Votaw, and nieces and nephews; Andrea, Billy, BJ, and Kathryn.
A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Monday, January 8, 2018 in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the "Howard Home Legacy" at the Methodist Home for Children in Waco at www.mch.org or at 1111 Herring Ave. Waco, Texas 76708.
