Susan L. Harrington, age 64, of Hammond, IN, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2016 at her home with her loving family at her side. Susan was born May 22, 1952 in Michigan City, IN to the late Donald and Marie (Bryant) Rooks. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Jeff (Melissa) Harrington and Christine (David) Hutchings; grandchildren: Christopher Hutchings, Rylan Hutchings, and Samantha Harrington; and siblings: Donald (Jan) Rooks II and Teresa (George) Codgill. Susan was a retired registered nurse for St. Anthony Hospital in Crown Point, IN in labor and delivery for over 37 years of service. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Susan was a caring animal lover, caring for all her pets and neighborhood critters. She will be missed by all those who loved her.
