Craig and Maxine,
I have very fond memories of Susan even though I left the space center many years ago. I will always remember her sweet personality and smiling face. My prayers and thoughts will be with you during this difficult time.

Dear Craig and family - I am sorry to hear about the loss of Susan. Many years ago she gave me this beautiful homemade pillow as a birthday gift. The design is very eclectic, lots of mixed patterns, textures, and bright colors -- I think of her every time I see it. I guess what I am trying to say is I hope your memories spent together help ease the pain, and knowing her, she would not want you to feel sad. She was a joy and I feel so fortunate to have spent time with her.

Craig and Maxine,
My friendship with Susan is a treasure I'll always have. Her rare combination of gifted artist & relentless analyst helped me to see and appreciate the unique talents, contributions & beauty of individuals. She taught me so much by simply living her life with purpose, love, grace, dignity and integrity. The way she saw colors in everything, her love of nature, and fun, and family, and friends are some of my cherished memories. I'll never forget the early years that she and I were trying to figure out the many mysteries of motherhood together. She never gave up learning and seeking solutions for every problem life sent her way. Praying for your comfort and strength as you continue living your lives in ways that honor her sacrificial love for you. With much love, sorrow, and hope.
