Sylvia Steiner Aaron, age 64, of Tuscaloosa, died Aug. 24, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. today at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Rabbi Yossi Posner of Birmingham officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rica and Lazar Steiner.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Aharon; her daughters, Ariela H. Aaron and Abigail Aaron Raczynski; her son-in-law, Mark Raczynski of Birmingham; and her sister, Malka Steiner of Israel.
She was born on January 31, 1947, in Bucharest, Romania. She immigrated to Israel with her parents and sister. She graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem where she met her future husband, Paul. She was a beloved mother and wife and was loved and respected by everyone around her. She will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society and/or Temple Emanu-El in Tuscaloosa.
