She was my Mother Inlaw for 28 years. I remember in my teens and early twenties being so inspired by her elegant style, her successful career in Consumer Affairs for US Postal Service, her love of reading a Danielle Steel novel in one day, her skillful ability to sew a new outfit for work in an evening. She loved luxury cars, getting her nails done and having Tio Mandy make custom, one of a kind jewlery like her scorpion ring. She loved to dance and could literally float on a dance floor in heels of course! She was opinionated, determined, and loved to laugh. She taught me a great deal about being a Mother. She taught me to never give in or up. She was the only Mother I ever knew. The family giggle at around Halloween & Thanksgiving was that she was always going to make "pumpkin stew"...I don't think she ever did, but ahhhh....the life she lived. RIP Sylvia, Xoxo

My condolence to Sylvia's family. So sorry to learn of her passing. Sylvia and I were high school friends at Tucson High. She was a fun person to be around, she always had a smile on her face and she had such a witty and sweet personality. Last time I saw Sylvia was at our 43rd high school reunion, I believe. She was still the spunky Sylvia that I knew.
God rest your soul my friend.

Davey, Delbert, Doreen, so sorry to hear about your mom. I remember the good times when you were little. Many great parties and picnics. Your mom was always the perfect hostess. I learned a lot from her an I will always be thankful that God put her in my path, God bless and comfort you, Evelyn Alcaraz
