We were so saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Stacy. I first met Mr. Stacy and his wife Wanda when he was transferred to Calgary, Canada to take up his new role as Chairman, President and CEO of Amoco Canada. I had the pleasure of being Mr. Stacy's executive assistant for 6 years and have never worked for a kinder, more thoughtful and down to earth man. He always had a joke to share, a story to tell and continually impressed us all with his business acumen. He was truly a southern gentleman. He often spoke of his wife and family with great love and tenderness. He will be truly missed. My husband and I were fortunate to have known him and wish to pass on our condolences to Mrs. Stacy and family.

We only met and visited with Don on a few occasions, but it only took those few occasions to experience his warmth, grace and humility. We have, however, had the blessed opportunity to spend more time with his daughters and sons-in-law through whose eyes we saw Don's greatness and generosity. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Stacy family, and we pray that you are blanketed in the peace, love and warmth of our Heavenly Father as you reflect on Don's life and your lives and time spent with him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

So many memories of a wonderful family. I met Donnie, Wanda and Chris in the summer of 1957. Donnie was going to work for Amoco, in their Duncan Field Office. At that time Chris was about 2 years old. They blessed our family and the Westside Congregation so much. Donnie comprised an adult chorus of anyone who wanted to participate. They practiced very often. Usually in someone's home. I remember sitting, listening, and watching as Donnie led them and tried his hardest to get everyone on the right key. To our sadness the Stacy's only lived in Duncan one year. But, we remained very close friends for all these years.
Clint and I had the privilege of taking my parents, J.W. and Jeanell Bradley to Houston in early August to visit with Donnie and Wanda. It was a very special visit and lots of reminiscing. Thank you so much Wanda for this opportunity.
To the whole family, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time.

As one of many nephews, all of my memories of Uncle Donnie were at family gatherings of some sort and in all of those memories he's laughing, singing and having fun. For such an accomplished man, I believe that his love of life and family were his most admirable achievements in life and what he will be remembered for.
All of my memories of him are fond ones and I'll miss him. I can only imagine how he will be missed by his immediate family.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family.

I was honored to have traveled with Don to the former Soviet Union including Russia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan during the early 1990's, he was a true leader and he was instrumental in helping American companies, including Amoco, gain a foothold in this Region of the world. A true "world class oilman" and a most gracious and generous man. Bill Gottfried

Mr. Stacy was an amazing man. His was a purpose driven life.
I am an American citizen and have a job today because the entire Stacy family picked me up and extended the love of God to me. I am honored to be an “extended family member” of the Stacy's. Their Nigerian relative?
I will miss him deeply, his humor, which he still carried till the very end and his kind warm heart.
The entire Macaulay and Oketola families of Lagos, Nigeria, morn you sir. Our thoughts go to all of those you have left behind, especially Ms. Wanda . We pray God's peace and comfortable on every member of the Stacy family

Don was a mentor and a dear friend. He will be greatly missed. As an executive, he with acted with boldness, foresight and integrity. His stewardship of the Azerbaijan "deal of the century" as President of Amoco Eurasia was, I believe, the last great accomplishment of Amoco.

Don was a special man. He was President of SPE when I was on the Board, and he was a wise, perceptive and effective leader. Later on, when he was Chairman of the SPE Foundation Board, we worked together to raise money for SPE's website. He raised most of the money! Don and Wanda have been a great couple. Joyce and I pray that Wanda and the family will find comfort in remembering his wonderful life.

I am sad to hear that T. Don has passed away. Although I never worked with him, I would meet him from time to time : probably relating to things in South America. I found him to be very approachable, charming and extremely competent. I regret that I will be unable to attend the service as I live in Canada.
