Obituary

Ted Richard Frye, 82, passed away October 3, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born August 11, 1931 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late John Henry Frye and Pearl Irene Whitener Frye. He was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, where he held offices of Elder, was on the church council and sang in the choir. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was retired from National Cash Register after 35 years of service. Ted is survived by his wife of 57 great years, Betty Frye; sisters, Wilma Hefner of Hickory, Sandra Wisch and husband Fred of South Gate, KY, Patricia Wilson and husband Paul of Hickory, and Linda McNeely...
Ted Richard Frye, 82, passed away October 3, 2013 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born August 11, 1931 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late John Henry Frye and Pearl Irene Whitener Frye. He was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, where he held offices of Elder, was on the church council and sang in the choir. Ted is survived by his wife of 57 great years, Betty Frye; sisters, Wilma Hefner of Hickory, Sandra Wisch and husband Fred of South Gate, KY, Patricia Wilson and husband Paul of Hickory, and Linda McNeely and husband Don of Hickory; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Cheryl Hendrix and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Our Savior Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Guelzow and Rev. David Ziehr officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
