Thaddeus "Ted" (Teddybear) Mika, Jr. of Hayward, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 after a brief illness surrounded by his family.
He was born November 16, 1930 in Park Falls, Wisconsin. He graduated from Hayward High School.
Ted worked in the construction field as a general contractor and operated Teddy Bear's Sharpening Service for many years. Ted was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing cards and spending time with family.
Ted was preceded in death by his Parents, Thaddeus Sr. & Angeline Mika; Brother, George Mika; and Daughter, Donna Mika. He is survived by his wife, Marilynn Mika; Children, Sharon (Donald) Leggett, William (Barbara) Mika, Kari (Eugene) Zegarski, and Timothy (Anna) Mika; Grandchildren Nicholas and Lukas Leggett, Donald, Jr. and Timothy Leggett; Amber, Adam (Donna) and Ryan Mika; Whitney and Mariah Zegarski;
Nicholas and William Allard; as well as Sisters, Theresa Karpowicz and Rosalie Sheptick. He also had many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am, Saturday, June 1, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Hayward. Father Phil Juza will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery – Hayward, Wisconsin.
