Thelma D. Holt, nee Schaperkoetter, 94, of Lebanon, Illinois, born March 13, 1918, in Caseyville Township, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.
Mrs. Holt was a member of the United Church of Christ, O'Fallon, Ill. She was a people person, who loved a good conversation. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Holt; a son, Alan Holt; her parents, William and Hilda, nee Baldus, Schaperkoetter; a brother, William Schaperkoetter, Jr.; a sister, Gladys Mueller; a nephew, Dale Schaperkoetter; and a niece, Carol Jean Johnson.
Surviving are her grandson, Jeffrey (Marlene Wu) Holt; a daughter-in-law, Sharon (Michael) Holt-Gorsich; nieces, Bonnie Hundelt and Diane Mueller; a God-son, Keith (Janet) Freeman; dear friends, Anita Lillie and Mary Jane Miller; and many great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Cedar Ridge Health and Rehab Center, for their wonderful care.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Funeral: Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
