Theodore M. "Ted" Gibbs, 78, of Albion passed away Tuesday August 2, 2011 at his residence. He was born October 8, 1932 in Concord, Michigan to Patrick and Edna (Greenman) Gibbs. On October 17, 1953 he was married to Suzette B. "Suzie" Marsh in and Albion and she preceded him in death June 7, 2003.
He has been a resident of the area all of his life, He was employed as an Insurance Salesman for United Insurance, Prudential Insurance and had worked at Murray-Tymkew retiring from work in 1994. He enjoyed Golfing and Bowling.
He is survived by 4 Daughters Debra (Butch) Piepkow of Springport; Denise (Edward) Larry, Terri (Dan) Miller, and Teddi (Ray) Ebbinhaus all of Albion; 1 Son Timothy Gibbs of Jackson. 12 Grandchildren, Erin, Edward, Amanda, Nic, Danielle, Claudia, Jennifer, Tim, Christina, Alexandria, Conner, and Nathan; 8 Great Grandchildren Bruce, Matthew, Ja'Nyece, Ty'Rell, Sirell, Natalie, Jordan, and Thomas. 1 Brother Richard "Dick" Gibbs of Albion. Besides his Parents and his wife Suzie, he was preceded in death by a son Lee Gibbs.
According to his wishes, Cremation has taken place and a Private Graveside Service will be held at Riverside Cemetery-Albion.
