Obituary

COLLINS, Thomas "Tom" C, 71 of Prattville, passed away peacefully in his home after an extended illness on Sunday March 2, 2014. Visitation will be held Monday from 6:00 PM to 800PM at Ridout's Prattville Chapel. The Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday March 4th at 10:00 AM at Ridout's Prattville Chapel with the Reverend Earl Wise officiating. COLLINS, Thomas "Tom" C, 71 of Prattville, passed away peacefully in his home after an extended illness on Sunday March 2, 2014.

Mr. Collins was born June 22, 1942 in Lando, South Carolina to the late Wiley and Jessie Cooper Collins. He worked for many years in the textile mill industry and was known for his many job skills and as a hard worker. He enjoyed woodworking and during the last several years, owned and operated a lawn care and maintenance service. He was a mason, a longtime member of East Memorial Baptist Church and loved all kinds of sports activities including Alabama football.
He is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla; three daughters, Christi Collins Luckie and her husband, Warner, Toni Collins Brookshire, Marty Collins Childers, two step daughters; Jodi Brooks Creswell and her husband, Billy, Melanie Brooks Farrior and her husband, Dick; a sister, Louise Hinson; eight grandchildren; Mallory Swain, Hanna Swain, Carson Childers, Abby Brookshire, Dudley Luckie, Alex Creswell, Eli Creswell, Bella Creswell, Kelley Creswell and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Active pallbearers will be Carson Childers, Alex Creswell, Billy Creswell, Dick Farrior, Johnny Adams, and Sonny Iser. Honorary pallbearers will be Warner Luckie, Dudley Luckie and Eli Creswell.
The family would like to extend a special word of thanks to the staff of Alacare Hospice for their kindness and support.
