Dad had a wonderful sense of humour and was happiest when he was surrounded by his family and many friends. Dad joined the Merchant Navy at a very young age and served in WWII. He was very proud to have fought for his country. Dad worked hard all his life making his family his main priority. He retired after 23 years of service from the Department of Highways, where he worked as a highway inspector. Dad will always be remembered for his vast collection of ships and many stories of his adventures to the countries he travelled during his time in the merchant navy.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the awesome staff of 4 Eastwood at the Veteran's Memorial Hospital. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Always Home for the great care they provided for the 5 years prior to his moving to the Veteran's Memorial Building. A big thank you to his good friend Bobby.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax (455-0531) on Monday, July 7 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm with memorial service immediately after at 2:00 pm and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

"So sorry to hear about Tommy, if I would have known I would have attended his funeral. Tommy was a very dear friend over the years and I have many fond..."
