I just found out that sweet TJ had passed away. I grew up at 1st Baptist Midfield and have many fond memories of TJ and Jean. I know TJ, Jean, and all of the great people from FBCM are together in Heaven.

Never underestimate the impact one can have on another person's life - that's the lesson I learned as kid and teen from watching TJ. TJ and my dad, Richard, were friends from US Steel. TJ allowed my family to fish in his McCalla lake for years for free, where we created many memories I still cherish to this day - and I'm now 41. Through the simple things of fishing and buttermilk, a legacy, an impact and a friendship was cultivated. Such a kind spirit, giving and loving man - he was always so nice to the Humphries family. May his survivors be comforted in the wonderful memories TJ created for them.

You were blessed to have two wonderful and loving parents. While I know that you miss them both. I know that you find peace in knowing that their love of the Savior was the example that they followed and that now they are both in his presence.

Sandra and Pam, I have such warm memories of your mom and dad from the time many years ago when we were your next door neighbors in Midfield. They were such warm, caring people and although it has been so many years since I have seen any of you, please know I share in your sorrow.
