Thomas Patrick Shanley Jr. passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 surrounded by family. Pat was born in the same bedroom as his dad on the Shanley homesteaded property here in Auburn CA on July 17, 1920. Pat prided himself as a cowman and raised Herford cattle well into his 80's. Pat was actively involved in the Placer County Farm Bureau during this time. Pat and Mary belonged to the Jeans and Queens's square dance club and spent 25 years of their retirement dancing and camping.
Pat is survived by his daughter Suzy Ronk and her partner John of Auburn, son-in-law Bob Ragar Sr. of Pahrump, NV, his grandchildren Maurine Michelle Santiago and her husband David of Auburn, Tom Ragar and his wife Wendy of Reno, NV, Bob Ragar Jr. and his wife Tashianna of Reno, NV, and 7 great grandchildren (Cole, Ebbett, Olivia, Adeline, Tommy, Ethan and Aiden).
