Thomas "Tom" W. Bright, Sr., 95, of Hixson, went home to be with the Lord and reunited with his wife on Saturday, March 28, 2015.
Tom was born on June 13, 1919 in Rockwood, Tennessee to the late John and Annie Bright. He served our country in the United States Army during World War II. Tom and his late wife owned and operated Bright's Home Fashion for 26 years. He was a member of White Oak Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, Church Treasurer, Chairman of Finance Committee, Trustee and several other committees. Tom was honored
for his years of service as Deacon Emeritus by the church. Tom loved his family and church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Imogene L. Bright.
Tom is survived by his children, Jane Ann (Lanse) Sutton, Thomas W. (Diane) Bright, Jr., and Mark (Beverly) Bright; granddaughters, Amie (Jim) Stepkoski, Katie (Cameron) Griffith, Laura (Bently) Durant and Bonnie (Kevin) Henry; five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 pm on Monday, March 30, and 10:30 to 11:30 am on Tuesday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service for Tom will follow at 11:30 am on Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with Doctor Tony L. Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tom's name to White Oak Baptist Church, 310 Memorial Drive, Red Bank, TN 37415.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.

One of the nicest men I've ever had the pleasure of knowing! So sorry for your loss but I hope you take comfort knowing he is now with the love of his life. Mr. and Mrs. Bright had a great positive influence in my life and I will never forget them!
