Thomas Kenneth "Ken" Baldwin, 76, of Harmony died Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Gordon Hospice House.
He was born October 2, 1934, in Fairfax, VA, and was the son of the late Thomas Richard and Zola Mae Howell Baldwin. He retired from Southern Screw Company after 27 years of service and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Harmony.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on August 27, 2001, by his wife, Eva Stuart Baldwin whom he married on December 26, 1959; and a brother-in-law, Eugene Gaither.
Ken is survived by a son, Clay Baldwin (Kim) of Harmony; a daughter, Teresa Shores (Randy) of Statesville; five grandchildren, Kim Woods (Tracey) and Todd Shores both of Statesville, Courtney Harmon of Bluefield, WV, Dell Baldwin and Kyle Baldwin both of Harmony; six great-grandchildren, Peyton Shores, Savannah Woods, Grayson Woods, Mason Shores, Jay Harmon, and Jaydon Harmon; a sister, Peggy Gaither of Statesville; and three brothers, Darrell Baldwin (Lois) of Smethport, NC, Buddy Baldwin (Pat) of Statesville, and Roy Baldwin (Pat) of Olin.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at Friendship Baptist Church in Harmony with the Revs. John Whalen and Otis Johnson officiating. Burial will in the church cemetery with military rites being accorded by the Iredell County Veterans Council Burial Detail.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Monday in the Ernest Troutman Memorial Chapel at Reavis Funeral Home of Harmony and at other times will assemble at the home of his granddaughter, Kim Woods, 182 Feimster Place Lane, Statesville.
