Obituary

Thomas Adrian Costner, age 81, of Dallas, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born in Dallas and was the son of the late Vard Jacob and Zella Humphries Costner. Mr. Costner was a veteran of U. S. Army during the Korean War, retired from Wix Filters Corporation and was a very faithful and devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Dallas. Mr. Costner is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Cloninger Costner; two sons, Bruce Costner and wife Donna of Lincolnton, Wesley Costner and wife Gail of Dallas; one daughter, Shelia Wilkinson and husband Tom of Dallas; five grandchildren, Mandi...
Thomas Adrian Costner, age 81, of Dallas, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born in Dallas and was the son of the late Vard Jacob and Zella Humphries Costner.

Mr. Costner was a veteran of U. S. Army during the Korean War, retired from Wix Filters Corporation and was a very faithful and devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Dallas.

Mr. Costner is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Cloninger Costner; two sons, Bruce Costner and wife Donna of Lincolnton, Wesley Costner and wife Gail of Dallas; one daughter, Shelia Wilkinson and husband Tom of Dallas; five grandchildren, Mandi Rhyne, Brandon Costner, Adrienne Costner, Brett Costner, Tyler Wilkinson; one great granddaughter, Rylei Rhyne.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. Friday at Dallas Funeral Home, 212 West Trade Street, Dallas.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P. M. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Sherrill Curtis officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Costner, Tyler Wilkinson, Brett Costner, Loyd Best, Boyd Best, Tom Wilkinson, Lowell Haney, and Alfred Cloninger.

Mr. Costner was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carol Anne Costner; grandson, Quentin Abernathy; brother, Garth Costner; sisters, Catherine Idol, Lillie Mae Best, Helen Brown.
