Thomas Edward Mason Jr. 85, born in Lynchburg VA. on May 5th, 1928 passed away on September 19th , 2013. He resided in Jacksonville Florida since 1950. He was widowed by his beloved Grace Prom Carter Mason (Jacksonville FL). He is survived by his sister Shirley Mason Molleck (Humble TX), his daughter Linda Mason Swanson (Humble TX) and son, Thomas Edward Mason III (Jacksonville FL). He delighted in his four (4) grandchildren and three (3) great grandchildren.

Known to all as either Ed or Tom he strived throughout his life to be a positive role model for his family and community. In his youth he excelled as an athlete in swimming and in tennis. He dutifully served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He enjoyed a long career into retirement with US Gypsum Corporation. He faithfully served God and his church as a Deacon. His hobbies included golf, fishing and gardening.

In the Houston TX area: Visitation, at 9 a.m., Service at 10 a.m. Sunday, September 22nd at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 HWY 59 North, Kingwood TX. Pastor Fred Dallas, Second Baptist Church will be officiating. Phone: 281-358-9005
