Thomas E. Richardson, 92, passed away February 27, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Emma E. (Mancini) Richardson. Born in Providence, a son of the late James H. and Margaret A. (Kelly) Richardson.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Capt. Thomas Richardson, Jr. (Ret. NPPD) and his wife Gail, and Karen J. Northup; his grandchildren Kelly and Kyle; his beloved dog Harpo; and his sibilings Joseph, Robert and Kenneth Richardson and Margaret Gardner. He was the brother of the late James, Edward, Owen and Raymond Richardson, and Evelyn Sparven.
Mr. Richardson had served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept.142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
