Dear Family of Tom Skarda, my condolences for the passing of Tom, a much beloved man by the Canton community, are very late, but please accept my deepest sympathy. Today, Oct 22, is when I learned that Tom had passed away in January of this year. I see in his memorial picture that he still has that same warm smile that brought comfort to all of us in Canton who lost loved ones and who looked to Tom for burial guidance. So many of my relatives who passed on were at Scarda Funeral Home for viewing. Tom was always there for us. We were blessed to have such a fine man, humble and caring, to lean on during a time of such intense sadness for us. I was privileged to know Tom, and I will always remember him. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. Carolyn Green, Grasonville, MD

I heard of both passing just yesterday and my heart has been very heavy. Tom was well known as a pillar of the community and always had his side kick, Justin with him. Tom was my mentor years ago and I looked up to him greatly. There will always be a soft spot in my heart for the Skarda family. Jared and Paula and Ann, I am very sorry for your loss and may you be comforted to know they are together.

Jared and family...
Unimaginable to hear about not only your brother's passing, but then your father.
I have your family in my thoughts and prayers and I have spread the word to some of our colleagues at both companies. Some I understand knew your Dad.
Thinking of you and yours.
