Memorial services to celebrate the life of Thurman Franklin Posey will be held, Monday, May 7, 2012 at 12:30pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Thurman was born August 10, 1930 in Tatum, Texas to G.F. Posey and Rosa Lee Hunt-Posey and was rewarded his crown in Heaven on May 1, 2012. Thurman loved watching old western movies, doing mechanic work and spending time with his family, fellow truck drivers and friends. Thurman was greeted in Heaven by the mother of his children, Audrey Elaine Posey, his daughter, Debbie Steiner and his grandson, Kyle Roberson. Thurman will greatly be missed by his family and has left a legacy of memories for them...

He was a hard worker, who at age 80, was determined to be self-employed by opening a Watermelon Shack. His strong will and work ethic made him a man of his words and a loyal friend and family-man. Although his presence no longer by our side, his memory will remain in the hearts of his children; Sandra Sallas, Dwain Posey and wife Linda, Lisa Veasy and husband James, Stacey Cline and Rodney Posey and wife Leticia; grandchildren, Shawn Miranda, Chad Fuller, Melissa Mason and husband Jimmy, Torie Santos and husband Jamie, Nathan Posey, Kenny Posey, Tiffany Skinner, Lesley Veasy, Heather Veasy, Ryan Veasy, Patrick Veasy, Caitlin Roberson, Amanda Posey, Olivia Posey and Elena Posey; 7 great grandchildren and a host of other loving family members and friends also survive.
